Affirmative Prayer

Affirmative Prayer

For many, Januarys are a time of new beginnings. We review our year and take inventory, relationship, finances, occupation, spirituality, et al. What does your inventory reveal? Do you feel embarrassed or ashamed of your answers? Or are you filled with joy and excitement, perhaps both?

Are you trapped in the circumstances of life? Is there a feeling that all is against you, or are you leaning into your faith knowing that all of life is for you?

As for me, I have been on both sides of the fence. At times, even as a practitioner who knows and embraces oneness, I confess, I don’t always lean into my truth and look for love and reassurance from the outside, so I pray knowing..

There is only God, not God, and (fill in the blank). There is one Almighty, the Alpha, and the Omega. God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotence. This thing we call God is all male, all female. It is all love, joy, and abundance.

I am one with the Almighty. The I Am is the I of me. Likewise, the Almighty is the all of you too, and all who are far off. The Kingdom of God is within. Where there are cracks, the light gets out. Close your eyes and go into the silence. Stay there feeling the presence of the divine within. Take as long as it takes. Hear the voice of the I Am giving you guidance and truth. Breathe into the knowingness of your truth. God is within; It is closer to you than your breath. You are a unique expression of the divine. Be like the apostle Paul, content in all situations. Allow your consciousness to embrace its Christ consciousness, walking in the light. All of life is for us. We are enough.

I am grateful for the power of prayer, the power of truth, and releasing of the hypnotic spells of the world. I step within and find what has always been.

I release these words to the law knowing that it is already done. And so it is. Amen.
