Notes on Our Spiritual Journey July 22, 2016 Minister Musing

Affirmative Prayer

Affirmative Prayer

In the early, undistracted hours of the day, I often contemplate Oneness.  I see nature in full bloom – the fox in the back yard, the loud chirping of the brilliant colored birds and the mellow tones of those who stay out of sight, the majesty of the oaks and maples, the beauty of the tulip trees and magnolias.  Gradually, I become aware of the sounds of human activities beginning to stir.  We are all One.  There is only One.  We are inextricably intertwined in the existence of one another.  Every thought as it comes into form, every action affects all of us.  Some of us claim that we are separate – feel separate, we are not.  We cannot be.  Even if we isolate ourselves, that withdrawal impacts others.

As Margaret Wheatley said, “When we seek for connection, we restore the world to wholeness.  Our seemingly separate lives become meaningful as we discover how truly necessary we are to each other.”  We are essential.

I invite you to commit with me to remembering how essential each and every expression of the Divine is.

I begin at the beginning – God, the Source and Creator/Expressor of All – the seen and unseen

I move to immersing myself in the awareness that that “All” that God is expressing include me – that is what I am and what is true of me is true of everyone – every aspect of the All

From this knowing of what I am, I speak of what I know:  There is only the One in expression so all encounters, relationships, experiences are within the One.  I take responsibility for my part.  I show up in God awareness.  I show up demonstrating “Spirit in me, as me, is me.” I recognize that Truth about all others.  My behaviors reflect that awareness.  I share this awareness and welcome others to be demonstators of Oneness.  Together we seek connection.  Together we bring the world to wholeness and Peace.

As I fully embrace this that I know, gratitude, irrepressible gratitude arises within me.

Joyously, I release my word, knowing it is fulfilled.

In Love, Peace and Prosperity,

Rev Trish
