Affirmative Prayer

We seem to be bombarded daily with messages of fear –

threats to the economy, mass shootings, warnings of

nuclear war, political unrest throughout the world,

and on and on,,,,

I find that I need daily reminders, through our SOM

principles and the practices, of the Truth

behind all these conditions and appearances.

Ours is a very practical teaching. It helps me every day

to live life more fully, more deeply, more calmly, more

joyfully. SOM does not tell us to ignore and pretend that

troubling events are not happening. It helps us to see

beyond the events to the causes so that we can

be a part of the change in consciousness that will change

these conditions.

And so I offer this prayer today to all of us:

I know that there is only One Source, One Presence,

One Power. And that One has created all that is.

And so each of its creations is a living expression of

that Creative Source. Each of us as is an expression of our

Creator and has the same creative ability.

Everything in Form begins as an idea which is

received by the Creative Law and made manifest.

And I know that I have the Power to choose which ideas

I send out into the Law. By use of the Spiritual Practices

to fill my Mind and Heart with the Truth, I become that which

I believe. My thoughts, words and actions become aligned

with those of the Creator. My consciousness synchronizes with

the Universal Consciousness so that I am the Love, the Peace,

the Joy, that I was created to express in the World.

My eyes see the Love, Peace, Beauty, and Joy that abounds

in Everyone and Everything. The mists of darkness disappear

in the midst of the Truth.

I know that I have the Power to be the Change that I wish to see

in our world. I am the Light that illuminates the darkness and shines

forth as Love, Peace, Beauty and Joy.

I am so grateful to have the practices and spiritual community to remind me when I forget

so that I can see and be the Truth of who each of us is.

And so I release this Word into the Loving Law and I let it go.

And so it is.
